This workshop accompanies the exhibition "Urban Refractions" held at project space KIMGO as part of the Urban Art Week, which investigates the influence of light and light installations in public space. In the 3 hours workshop you will learn about basic electronic principles in lighting control. You can understand more about the work with light and how to build an electronic circuit and control it in different ways. The course will be held by Felipe Fierro Dietz who will teach you about electricity, prototypes and circuit welding as well as LED lighting - single lights and LED strips.
Felipe Fierro Dietz works and lives as an artist in Berlin. His training as a photographer artist added to previous studies in the field of science have been key in the development of his work, which is framed in the problematization of the technical device, information technologies and the impact on communicative phenomenon.
