Where we are
Herrfurthstraße 23, Berlin, Deutschland
NEON KUNST was founded in 2014 by the artists David Braithwaite and Werner Kernebeck as a non-commercial project space, with the aim of bringing together the widest variety of artistic genres. A venue for exhibitions, art actions and concerts, performance, film, installations, conceptual positions and works in progress. Open to all art forms from fine arts to underground with a strong interest in exchange and networking, local and international. A living room for artists and art lovers in Berlin’s Schillerkiez near Tempelhofer Feld. It is important for us to be as open as possible, without drawing any clear boundaries. Confusion is part of the program. The first room, arranged as a cabinet of curiosities, functions as a cozy living room for encounters, discussions and exchanges, and also houses works by screenprint collective Czentrifuga and other Berlin artist friends. The second room is open to constant change, but is also no white cube. As in the other rooms, the floors, ceilings and walls are laid bare. They tell stories of their past, which form the basis for what comes next.
