An Urban Art Forum for Berlin
Urban Art in Berlin needs exchange. Numerous projects enrich the city, but hardly ever enter into conversation with each other. The city of Berlin is reserved when it comes to the art movements of Urban Art, but is not afraid to use them for its international city marketing. The effects on the local level are often incomprehension and a lot of work without public funding for almost all actors. Berlin needs dialogue and an Urban Art Forum that makes discussions possible. In order to give this forum a corresponding shape, Urban Art e.V. and the Arbeitskreis der urbanen Szene invite you to the next meeting of Urban Art Week on Sunday 8.09.2019 at 5 pm in the Haus der Statistik.
Above all, we want to invite you to pro-actively seek dialogue with each other and with the city. With many of you, we would like to formulate and record the needs, demands and arguments of the local Urban Art scene in order to summarize them after the Urban Art Week in the written form. Our aim is to identify the responsible people in the Berlin administration and to offer them a constructive catalogue of measures to simplify future projects (when it comes to areas and spaces) and to support them (willingness to engage in dialogue, funding).
