Flucht Tor is playing with the ideas and the visual vocabulary behind western revivalist triumphal arches. Although the inspiration behind the design of the piece is obvious, the iconography found in the details creates a rather antithetical narrative to those illustrated in glorification monuments. Instead of a perpetuated fantasy of bravery and duty, Flucht Tor tells a story of escape and desertion.Curated by Petr Hosek
